J. Robert Brookens
Bob was born in Westmoreland, Kansas, February 8, 1950. He is a third generation attorney in Kansas. In 1978, he moved to Marion and started his own law practice. Bob joined Dean Batt and Roger Morse in 1982, in their Marion office. He started working also in Hillsboro in 1985, and is still available in both communities. Bob earned his B.M.E. from the University of Kansas in 1972 and his law degree from Washburn University School of Law in 1978, when he was also admitted to the Kansas bar and the bar for the U.S. District Courts in Kansas, and he has served the Marion County Bar Association as its Secretary, Treasurer, and President. Bob served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2009-2012.
Susan C. Robson
Susan was born in Ellsworth, Kansas, February 6, 1965. Susan joined Bob in 1995, in the Marion office. Susan left the office to serve as the County Attorney for Marion County, Kansas, from 2001-2017. She is now available in the Marion and Hillsboro offices. She earned her B.S. from Kansas State University in 1987 and her law degree from Washburn University School of Law in 1990. Susan was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1991 and the bar for the U.S. District Courts in Kansas, and she is a member of Kansas, Marion County, and American Bar Associations; County Counselors Association of Kansas; and City Attorneys Association of Kansas. Susan has served as the City Attorney for the City of Marion since 2012.
Robyn was born and raised in Marion, Kansas. She started working for the firm in 1990 as an Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper. She also assists with filing documents with the courts, income taxes, document production, and general office management. Robyn and her husband have four children.
CleoBeth was raised in North Dakota, but moved to Hillsboro in 1971 to attend Tabor College. She started working for the firm in 1991 and assists with scheduling, office management, and general document production. CleoBeth and her husband have two children and four grandchildren.
